Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group is seeking a professional truck driver to safely operate Class 5-8 vehicles in accordance with federal and state regulations. The role involves daily logs, timely deliveries, and thorough record-keeping under the supervision of the Used Truck Manager.

The position emphasizes compliance with DOT rules, routine pre/post trip inspections, and accurate reporting of time and expenses, including any incidents.

Qualifications

• Notify the Used Truck Manager of any issues with trucks driven.
• Complete driver log book on a daily basis and accurately fill out and turn in all paperwork at the end of the day.

Duties and responsibilities

Working conditions

• Drive all types of trucks Class 5-8 trucks in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Typically moves are day trips but occasional overnight stays may be required. In rare occasions one-way air travel may be required.
• Must be able to perform Driver duties in all safe weather conditions.

Pysical requirements

• Able to safely drive Class 5-8 trucks.
• Able to fuel trucks and check fluid levels.
• Able to perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Able to climb in/out of several trucks on each scheduled workday.
