**** Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawaii may apply for Casual Hire appointments, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits provided to regular Board of Regents or Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Hiring Unit: Hawaii Community College - Palamanui

• Assist with academic affairs student support events, activities, and programming.
• Work closely with admin, faculty and staff to provide academic and student support for Hawaii CC with a focus on the Palamanui campus.
• Work closely with Palamanui Director, faculty and staff to support campus needs.
• Prepare program reports, budgets, requests and reports relating to student success, procurement, facilities, etc.
• Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to provide support and assistance to Hawaii CC faculty, staff and students with a focus on the Palamanui campus.
• Works closely with the HLS program and HLS coordinator to provide support with the Ha’akumalae protocols program at Palamanui.
• Assist with recruitment and outreach for Hawaii CC with a focus on the Palamanui campus.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA in Hawaiian Studies, Liberal Arts, Social Science, Communication and at least 1 year of experience with academic student support activities, training with Hawaiian cultural and language focus and/or experience in higher education; or equivalent education/training or experience. If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting minimum qualifications may be considered.
