Job Description

Peterson Trucks has a need for Casual Help at our San Leandro, CA location. This job is limited duration lasting six months or less.

SUMMARY

Responsible for general clean-up of the shop and yard. Assists parts, service, and sales departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Clean shop and yard as needed.
• Assist with set up and take down with special events.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
• Operate overhead cranes and other CAT equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Take care of environmental concerns including wash rack and soil remediation.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED, and good previous work record required.
• Experience in the safe operation of heavy and other miscellaneous equipment also required.
• Experience operating a steam cleaning machine preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical work preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• The hourly pay range for this position is: $22.08 - $25.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
