Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Casual position for the Colon & Rectal Surgery area at Methodist Physicians Clinic in Omaha, NE. Responsibilities include pre-cleaning and high level disinfection of GI scopes and related equipment, with a flexible schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, as needed.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED; sterile processing and GI scope experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CFER certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Sterile processing and GI scope experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend reports.

Responsibilities

• Pre-clean and disinfect GI scopes and related equipment.
• Scope maintenance and repair prep; inspect scopes coming back from repair.
• Change disinfection solutions and monitor temperatures per guidelines.
• Perform annual competencies with RN staff; assist with preparing equipment for sterile processing.
