Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker in Esperance to provide a mix of community access and in-home lifestyle supports. Hours start at a minimum of 14 hours per fortnight, with consistent daytime shifts helping clients achieve goals and build independence.

Applicants should be local to Esperance, capable of covering last-minute casual shifts, and have prior experience supporting people with disability.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with disability.
• Passionate about providing active support.
• Able to commit to last-minute casual shifts.
• Confidence with manual handling and personal care.
• An unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control
