Responsibilities

• Monitors and assigns patient transport according to request through the use of Epic.
• Sets priorities of patients transported according to predetermined departmental policy.
• Informs ancillary area/nursing units of any delay in service.
• Verifies information on request for accuracy prior to distribution to patient transporter.
• Schedules breaks and lunch for patient transporters according to patient volumes.
• Reports to Manager any problems with patient transporters or undue delays.
• Coordinates area function in absence of Resource Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned.
