Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Dispatcher to support Patient Transportation in Hartford, CT. You will coordinate dispatch activities, monitor transport requests, and provide quality customer service in a healthcare setting.

The shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays; pay is $18.00 per hour. Prior dispatching and healthcare experience is preferred, with full benefits available.

Qualifications

• Prior dispatching and healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services through dispatch and management of requests.
• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Understands infection control concepts and proper body mechanics.
• Directs transport activity and transporter tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Monitors availability and adherence to departmental standards and priorities.
• Serves as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Assigns pagers, monitors sign-in/out, and promotes positive customer relationships.
• Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff, or complaints and suggests solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
