Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Casual CT Technologist to join our Radiology team in Wilmington, Delaware. The role involves performing CT imaging studies with a focus on patient care and safety in a collaborative environment.

Required are radiologic technologist credentials, ARRT certs, and Delaware license within 90 days. Knowledge of Siemens CT systems and contrast administration is essential, with on-call flexibility and excellent communication skills highly valued.

Qualifications

• Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school) required.
• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience required.
• State of Delaware Radiology Technologist License required within 90 days of employment.
• ARRT/ Radiographer certified within 1 year of employment.
• ARRT /CT Board Certified within 18 months of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required or obtained within first 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging studies while ensuring total patient care in a comfortable environment.
• Perform CT protocols as directed by radiologist and maintain patient safety.
• Prepare patient and provide explanations of imaging procedures.
• Administer and document contrast media under radiologist supervision; monitor for reactions.
• Start IVs and inject contrast material for imaging studies.
• Screen patients for contraindications and assist radiologists with patient evaluation.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper function and calibration.
• Enter patient data and orders into hospital computer systems; support workflow.
• Be flexible with schedule and available for on-call shifts.
