UPMC has an opening in Lock Haven for a Casual Professional Staff Nurse, BSN to join the Outpatient Emergency Department. The role involves variable shifts, 36 hours/6 weeks, and one holiday per year. The nurse will deliver care as a Registered Nurse, teach patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to achieve outcomes.

Minimum 1 year of experience; BSN preferred. Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BLS/CPR are required or expected. UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in PA or compact state.
• BSN preferred; 1 year nursing experience required.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS/CPR certifications required or expected.
• Ability to teach patients, families and new staff; strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care in the Outpatient Emergency Department.
• Teach patients and families; support student and new staff as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction efforts.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to plan and implement care.
• Maintain documentation and ensure safety across shifts.
