Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Casual/Per Diem ACLS, CPR Instructor to support training for staff across seven Central PA hospitals. You will coordinate and conduct American Heart Association courses (ACLS, BLS, PALS, AED) and manage course records and instructor scheduling within the training site.

Travel within the Central PA region is required; reliable transportation is a must. This per diem role offers about 8 hours per month with potential to pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Paramedic training from AMA/CAAHEP-accredited program preferred.
• RN licensure in PA or health/science bachelor’s degree acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and instruct credentialed courses (ACLS, BLS, PALS, AED).
• Administer course records, scheduling, and instructor coordination.
• Promote quality/safety in all course activities.
• Maintain inventory of training materials and equipment.
• Travel within the Central PA region to provide training across hospitals.
