Job summary

The Training and Education Fund in Philadelphia seeks a Per Diem CPR Instructor to deliver in-person American Heart Association trainings (BLS and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid). You will follow AHA lesson plans, ensure a productive student experience, demonstrate techniques, assess performance, and stay current with guidelines.

Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends. Compensation: $30/hr plus mileage reimbursement (60+ miles round trip), tolls and parking reimbursement;

Qualifications

• CPR Certification required.
• PA Driver's license with reliable vehicle required.
• AHA CPR Instructor Certification preferred.
• Teaching experience of 1 year preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and groups.
• Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Provide clear explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures.
• Demonstrate proper techniques for life-saving skills.
• Utilize varied teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate learning.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices.
• Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management.
• Track attendance and report sessions to Regional Coordinator/Director in a timely manner.
