Delaware River & Bay Authority (DRBA) in Cape May, NJ seeks a Casual Able Bodied Seaman to support vessel operations and safety. This part-time role involves assisting passengers, maintaining vessel cleanliness, and monitoring communications equipment.

The position requires safety training, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and flexibility for weekend shifts. Hourly rate is $23.75, with no guaranteed hours and the opening date is February 26, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, TWIC, and MMC endorsed as Able Seaman.
• Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Assist passengers for safe transit and demonstrate safety equipment usage.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness and perform security and watch duties.
• Monitor AV/PA equipment for quality and clarity.
• Provide high level customer service to internal and external customers.
• Contribute to safe operation of vessels and respond to emergencies.
