Job summary

The Delaware River and Bay Authority is seeking an OILER for Cape May, NJ. The role oversees vessel engine room operation, records logs, and supports maintenance under the Chief Engineer.

This safety-sensitive position reports to the Chief Engineer and Port Engineer for night operations and ashore duties. Requirements include US citizenship, 21+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a QMED credential (or obtain within 120 days).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate engines and auxiliary machinery safely on vessels.
• Record official logs and report data to Chief Engineer.
• Assist with engine room maintenance and repairs underway and ashore.
• Respond to emergencies and follow shipboard SOPs.
• Provide high level customer service to internal and external customers.
