Job summary

Neenah Foundry Miami in Medley, FL is seeking a Finishing General Laborer to help finish, clean, and inspect castings for shipment. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a hot, noisy foundry environment.

You will operate hand tools and finishing equipment, perform sandblasting and water jet cleaning, monitor product quality, and cooperate with a production team to meet daily goals. PPE is provided and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends if required.
• Foundry environment with high temperatures and elevated noise levels.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, grinders, and other finishing equipment to remove excess material from castings.
• Inspect castings for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Clean castings using sandblasting and water jets.
• Transport finished products to designated areas within the facility.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
