Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Build Engineer, Castings to own large structural castings from design review through production, bridging product and Capabilities Engineering. You will define build flows, establish processes, and collaborate with Design, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure on-time, cost-effective castings for multiple programs.

You will work on-site at the Kutztown, PA foundry or from Los Angeles with up to 25% travel to the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong GD&T and 3D CAD skills.
• Experience interpreting product requirements and translating them into build requirements.
• Experience with large steel castings, heat treatment, and NDT.
• Experience working on a foundry floor and with outside foundries.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end casting route from pattern to machining handoff.
• Drive DFM, evaluate gating, risers, and solidification to meet product requirements.
• Plan casting quality levels, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria with Design and Quality.
• Coordinate BOMs, work orders, and instructions in PLM/ERP/MES systems.
• Collaborate across Design, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet NPI and program goals.
• Own disposition of non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
