Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a physician clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Registered or Certified Orthopedic Technician (ROT) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to casting area and prepare them for application.
• Applies, modifies, repairs, fits and removes casts, splints, braces and dressings as directed by physician.
• Educates patients about cast care and follow-up instructions.
• Maintains tools, equipment and inventory; provides training for nursing, ancillary staff and students.
• Replenishes supplies and keeps casting area clean and organized.
