Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. is seeking a Casting Production Technician to support the aluminum knuckle manufacturing process on site in Rock Spring, GA. You will operate casting lines, use a variety of tools, and work within safety, quality, and productivity targets.

The role requires adaptability, teamwork, and adherence to ISO and OSHA standards, with cross-training across steps of the casting process and reporting to the Casting Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in safety regulations, quality control processes specific to the Casting department.
• Able to operate casting lines.
• Able to complete melt process on 4 pots.
• Able to Run Furnace Operation
• Able to Drive Transfer pot Operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform one or more operations in manufacturing an aluminum knuckle for automobiles.
• After training, cross trained in more than one step of the process.
• Use tools such as file, air sander, air chisel, air blow wand, broom, dustpan and squeegee.
• Maintain equipment check sheets and COP in work area.
• Monitor production quantities and quality; ensure product quality and specifications.
• Provide daily updates to Casting Supervisor on progress and performance.
• Collaborate to prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure smooth flow of production.
