MercyOne Health System in Moline, IL is seeking a Casting Tech to escort patients to the casting area and prepare them for application. You will apply, modify, repair, fit and remove casts under physician guidance and educate patients on cast care.

Maintain tools, inventory, and provide staff training as needed. Two years of clinic or hospital experience preferred; ROT certification or ROM experience is a plus.

Competenze

• 2 years experience in a physician clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Registered or Certified Orthopedic Technician (ROT)

Mansioni

• Applies, modifies, repairs, fits and removes casts, splints, braces and dressings, as directed by physician
• Educates patients about cast care and follow up instructions
• Ensures the proper maintenance, record keeping, and ordering of tools, equipment and/or inventory and provides training for nursing, ancillary staff, and students
• Replenishes supplies—stocks and cleans casting area
• Recommends equipment and inventory purchases to Manager

As a Casting tech at MercyOne, you will be responsible for escorting patients to casting area, and prepares them for application

General Requirements

• 2 years experience in a physician clinic or hospital setting preferred

Education:

• High school graduation or equivalent required
