Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center in Davenport, IA is hiring a Patient Care Tech for the Orthopedics department. This full-time, evening-shift role supports nurses and physicians by delivering safe, quality patient care and helping with routine tasks.

No prior experience required; Basic Life Support training is required, CNA certification or medical terminology training is a plus. A High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the provision of safe, quality patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse through support of Genesis Medical Center's standards and philosophies.
• Provide assistance to nursing staff and physicians in various patient care and non-patient care activities.
• Perform tasks in a caring and efficient manner that supports customer service and assists with department housekeeping, supply/equipment/facility maintenance tasks.

• 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm)
• Full time .8 (32 hours a week)
• Rotating Weekends
• Rotating Holidays

General Requirements

• No experience required
• Special Training: Basic Life Support
• Training Preferred: previous experience, healthcare student, CNA certification, medical terminology
