Job summary

The role requires a four-year management-related degree or equivalent supervisory experience, with strong communication skills and a focus on teamwork and problem solving. Experience in aluminum casting or heavy industry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires four-year college degree in a management-related field or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Experience in aluminum reduction/casting or heavy industry preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coach and develop a self-directed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Casting department team to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
• Train and develop team, set boundaries, meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Provide direction to shift craftsmen to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment and support safety committee.
• Drive safety initiatives including investigations and workplace inspections.
• Promote ownership and accountability at the floor level through coaching.
• Interface with other plant leaders to maximize overall productivity.

• Participate in development activities and training to enhance professional growth.
• Assist in implementing Century Aluminum policies and labor agreement provisions.
