Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. is seeking a Furnace Operator to support the Casting department. You will work under the Shift Supervisor and Leads to operate casting melt equipment and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role offers hands-on training in melting processes, equipment operation, and process controls, with opportunities to grow technical skills in a 3-shift manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of casting processes is beneficial.
• Relevant coursework or certifications in casting are a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Leads & Supervisors in operating/maintaining casting melt process and equipment according to procedures.
• Monitor casting process, inspect quality, and report defects or variations to supervisors.
• Support routine maintenance on furnace/equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with leads to troubleshoot issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Assist in setup and changeover of furnace or equipment under supervision.
• Follow safety guidelines and keep a clean, organized work area.
