Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member for its aluminum casting operation in New Haven, Indiana. The ideal candidate will engage fully in safety initiatives, operate forklifts, and assist in material handling, quality inspection, and product packaging.

Overview

Perform various entry level tasks in our aluminum casting operation including material handling, quality inspection, product packaging and labeling, housekeeping and other tasks as needed to optimize production of Safe, Quality, Low-Cost Pounds.

Responsibilities

• 100% engagement in “Take control of Safety” initiatives
• Operate material handling mobile equipment such as forklifts
• Prepare various aluminum products for shipment including proper packaging and labeling
• Inspect finished product for quality
• Complete other tasks with teammates as needed
• Understand and follow all safety rules to ensure safety for me, safety for my team and safety for all

Qualifications
