Bonney Staffing seeks a Cast Iron Prep Machine Operator in Gorham, ME to set up and run grinders, belt sanders, and drilling machines. No prior manufacturing experience is required as training is provided. You will prepare cast iron parts for gas and wood stoves and work across stations to support production.

The role offers $20/hour with a 4-day schedule, Friday overtime, and bonus opportunities, including a $500 sign-on bonus plus 6% bonus on first 90 days and 2–8% biannual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Operate ergonomic equipment and other related production tools.
• Prepare cast iron parts and accessories for gas and wood stoves/inserts.
• Place parts in the specified relationship to one another.
• Apply gaskets to components.
• Kit and crate parts for production and shipment.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain staging areas and keep traffic lanes clear.
• Remove pallets, break down Euro crates, remove trash, and recycle cardboard.
• Operate and empty the cardboard crusher when needed.
• Perform quality and production tasks according to procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and participate in safety programs.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Machine Operator, you'll prepare cast iron components used to build high-quality gas and wood stoves and inserts. You'll operate a variety of production machinery and tools, perform repetitive machine operations, prepare parts, and work across different production stations as needed. No prior manufacturing experience is necessary - training is provided.

Physical Requirements

• This is a hands-on manufacturing position that requires standing, walking, reaching, handling materials, and repetitive movements throughout the workday.

• Frequent walking and handling/fingering
• Frequent lifting of 10-50 lbs
• Occasional lifting of 51-100 lbs
• Frequent reaching, including above shoulder level
• Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, and pushing/pulling
