Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant-PRN for weekend coverage in Casper, Wyoming.

You will assist physicians and nurses, prepare patient charts, take vital signs, perform basic phlebotomy and EKGs, and support the admissions process at Wyoming Behavioral Institute. The role requires at least 2 years of MA experience and a preference for certified Medical Assistants; must be 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.
• Prefer certified medical assistant and 2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a hospital, clinic or outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician, physician assistant, and Nurse Practitioner with charting and patient care during admissions.
• Prepare charts, records and room patients for History & Physical assessments.
• Perform basic MA tasks: vital signs, blood draws, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
• Maintain patient flow and ensure accurate documentation in patient records.
• Support patient charting in IT platforms and electronic/hard copy charts.
