Job summary

Blue Lake Casino is seeking a Security Officer I to patrol casino floors and grounds, enforce regulations, and provide courteous customer service while maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires alertness, ability to communicate with guests and staff, and readiness to respond to emergencies, with training in safety and first aid as needed.

This position is based at Blue Lake Casino; on-site work with requirements including a tribal gaming license and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months’ related experience and/or training.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and complete first aid/CPR training.
• Maintain Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License while employed.

Responsibilities

• Patrols gaming floor, corridors, public restrooms and Casino grounds on foot or by vehicle.
• Interviews guests and team members to detect infringements and investigates disturbances, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.
• Controls access to Casino, monitors guests and vendors.
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, and security doors left unlocked.
• Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
• Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.
• Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the Casino to maintain an orderly flow.
• Provide coverage for Dispatch/PBX as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
