Job summary

Seminole Classic Casino is seeking an accountant under the direction of the Vice President of Finance to oversee gaming and non-gaming accounting functions, revenue controls, payroll, and general ledger processes. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with accounting emphasis and 2+ years of accounting experience.

Ideal candidates are highly proficient in Excel and MS Word, with strong writing and verbal skills to prepare reports, support audits, and ensure accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with emphasis in accounting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience (4–6 years without degree).
• High attention to detail with tolerance for deadlines and pressure.
• Strong Excel skills and written communication ability.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile complex general ledger accounts monthly; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to the GL as required; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain and enhance financial systems and reporting mechanisms.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
• Ensure internal controls and best practices; assist in accounting projects.
