Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to support the EVS Manager and Shift Manager. You will help plan meetings, coach new team members, and ensure proper supplies, equipment handling, and safety standards across the casino floors.

The role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience in EVS or a similar field, a high school diploma, and strong communication and judgment. This is a hands-on supervisory position with peak-time coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services or similar field.
• High school diploma; some college a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written and computer communication.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist EVS Manager and Shift Manager in planning weekly supervisor meetings.
• Coach new team members during the transition to become productive members of the EVS team.
• Ensure shift managers have lists of supply and equipment needs and that all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring team members for your shift.
• Understand budgeting and the efforts required to meet budgets.
• Prepare recognition and improvement coaching with specific examples.
• Check staffing levels to ensure proper productivity and review payroll and reports.
• Perform continuous visual inspections of casino areas and outlets and coordinate with the shift manager to correct deficiencies.
• Ensure chemicals are stored, handled, diluted and used properly and safely.
• Communicate with manager and shift manager any information needed to keep the department running effectively.
• The main function is supervisory, with hands-on coverage during peak times as needed.
