Job summary

Wind Creek Chicago Southland in East Hazel Crest, IL is seeking an EVS Attendant I to maintain a pristine gaming complex, including machines, bathrooms, offices, and public areas. You will follow established procedures to deliver the highest level of cleanliness across the casino floors and public spaces.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, carpet care, operating cleaning equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and able to complete GED within 6 months from start date.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum weighing 25 pounds for up to 2 hours.
• Must be able to push/pull/maneuver 5–60 pounds to assigned areas.
• Must be able to stand for 100% of shift.
• Must pass job interview, including guest service audition.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing to work around solvents and cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to climb a ladder for overhead work.
• Must tolerate dust, second-hand smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• Willing to travel and participate in training.
• Must work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must have Illinois Gaming Act Occupational License or ability to obtain and maintain one.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the gaming complex clean and sanitized in all areas.
• Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, and clean surfaces including machines, bathrooms, offices, and public spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors in assigned areas including front and back of casino.
• Keep equipment clean and safe to use.
• Shampoo and extract carpets per maintenance schedule.
• Notify EVS Manager of supplies or maintenance needs.
• Report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to supervisor.
• Follow operating policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
