Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Olympia, WA is seeking a bartender to provide alcohol and non-alcohol beverage service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will verify age, handle cash/credit transactions, stock supplies, and adhere to all casino policies in the Beverage Department.

Requirements include a Class 12 Mixologist permit, a Food handler permit, and at least 1 year of bartending in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Class 12 Mixologist permit.
• Must be able to obtain a Food handler permit.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Basic math skills.
• Must possess good communication skills and interact well with guests and associates.
• Ability to work within time constraints and follow directions.
• Minimum one year experience as a bartender in a high volume setting.
• Capability to work in fast-paced environment, remain calm and professional.
• Ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous beverage service.
• Greet guests positively and treat each guest with professionalism.
• Mix and serve beverages following standard drink recipes.
• Manage quality, consistency, and portion control of drinks.
• Process cash and card transactions.
• Adhere to revenue handling policies and ensure compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of available beverages, recipes, and prices.
• Monitor guest needs and fulfill requests promptly.
• Ensure proper identification and age for alcohol service.
• Recommend and engage guests to enhance their experience.
• Maintain safe, clean service areas and inventory.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
