Schlotzsky's is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet guests, take orders, and help ensure a positive dining experience. You will operate POS, handle payments, and support store operations with accuracy and courtesy.

No prior cashier experience is required, training provided. Enthusiasm to learn, good communication, and optional bilingual skills will help service diverse customers; hours can reach 40–60 per week.

Qualifications

• Front-line customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for retail.
• Bilingual skills helpful for diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
• Strong communication and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with integrity.

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting our guests warmly, answering questions when needed.

• Maintain proper cash handling procedures and perform basic math calculations for transactions to ensure accuracy at all times.

• Use effective phone etiquette when answering customers over the phone, ensuring clear communication.

• Support inventory management through stocking efforts and participating in regular stock checks to keep the store organized and ready for customers.

Experience

• Training will be provided.

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!

• Bilingual skills are a strong plus for serving diverse customer needs effectively.

• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math will help you succeed in this role.

• Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with customers confidently and professionally.

• Prior exposure to restaurant environments or similar retail settings will be beneficial in understanding store operations.
