Job summary

The Golf Mart in San Diego, CA is seeking a friendly Cashier to promote a positive checkout experience and support core store values. You will handle POS transactions, assist customers, and help maintain displays and stock levels during busy hours, ensuring smooth operations.

Training will prepare you to suggest process improvements and contribute to a welcoming shopping environment. Flexible hours and employee discounts are part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service, keeping in mind that the customer’s last phase of their shopping experience is with the cashier.
• Process information and merchandise through computer and POS register system.
• Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description:

The Cashier at The Golf Mart is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, which has made Worldwide Golf what it is today. "Sure No Problem" means putting the customer first, and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate excellent customer service, keeping in mind that the customer’s last phase of their shopping experience is with the cashier.
• Process information and merchandise through computer and POS register system.
• Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system.
• Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling and climbing a ladder; ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds at any given time.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Qualifications Desired:

The hourly rate for this position is $16.90 - $18.00 per hour. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
