Job summary

GPM Investments in Minden, LA is hiring a Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 17291. You will greet customers, ring at the register, and help keep the store clean and welcoming.

You’ll learn lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sale compliance, upsell where appropriate, and assist with stocking, safety, and general store maintenance. This role offers flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older
• Able to work weekends and holidays
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Good English communication
• Basic math skills
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed
• Learn lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales and ensure age verification compliance
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers to increase sales
• Keep store clean and safe inside and outside, including deep cleaning restrooms, cleaning gas pumps, picking up litter and taking out trash
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh
• Maintain a clean and organized store, including sweeping, mopping, and windows
• Willing to cross-train in other departments, including deli
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Be a team player and assist wherever needed
