Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient with all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable about related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Understand CBC policies and cashiering transactions such as sales, check payments, non-taxable transactions, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
• Record all sales and cash accurately at the time of transaction.
• Assist with stocking and store organization.
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases.
• Arrive promptly, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately.
• Maintain security awareness at all times.
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries regarding sales, promotions, store location, pricing, and inventory.
• Stay updated on current promotions and sale items.
• Practice inventory control, especially for boots, and check for mis-matched items.
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals.
