Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and familiar with all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support the "Cavender's Culture" and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values.
2. Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
4. Know CBC policies and cashiering procedures, including sales, check transactions, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
5. Record all sales and cash accurately at the time of transaction.
6. Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization.
7. Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases to customers.
8. Arrive promptly, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately.
9. Remain security conscious at all times.
10. Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, store location, prices, and inventory.
11. Stay updated on current sale promotions and inventory, especially boots.
12. Follow company policies on all sales, including validation of sales tickets.
13. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals.
