Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all paperwork related to cashiering. Responsibilities also include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks such as stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the company's culture and promote its mission, vision, and values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies and cashiering transactions (cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, exchanges)
• Enter sales and cash accurately at the register
• Assist in stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote add-on purchases and store specials
• Arrive promptly, groomed, and dressed appropriately
• Stay security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information
• Stay updated on sale promotions and inventory control, especially boots
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Coordinate with supervisors to achieve company goals (ADS, UPT, vendor programs)
