Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable about all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values.
2. Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
4. Know CBC policies and procedures, including all cashiering transactions such as cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
5. Enter all sales and cash into the register promptly.
6. Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization.
7. Suggest add-on purchases and promote store specials.
8. Arrive promptly, groomed appropriately, and dressed suitably.
9. Remain security conscious at all times.
10. Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries regarding sales, promotions, and store information.
11. Stay updated on current sales and promotions.
12. Practice inventory control, especially for boots, including checking for mis-mates.
13. Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets.
14. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
15. Collaborate with supervisors to understand actions needed to meet company goals such as ADS, UPTs, and vendor promotions.
