Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable about all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat and organized work area
• Understand CBC policies and cashiering transactions (cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, exchanges)
• Record all sales and cash in register promptly
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote add-on purchases and store specials
• Arrive promptly, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately
• Remain security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store info
• Stay updated on sales and promotions
• Practice inventory control, especially on boots
• Follow company policies on all sales, including validating sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals related to sales and performance metrics
