Job summary

Buehler’s Fresh Foods seeks a Cashier to work on the Frontend, primarily responsible for processing customer purchases efficiently while providing exceptional service. Ideal candidates will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and flexibility, ensuring accuracy during transactions and supporting various operational duties based on department needs. This position offers training for those without prior cashiering experience and requires physical capability to handle store demands.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 10+ hours per week, including nights and weekends.
• Cashiering experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasional lifting to 80 lbs.

Cashier Position

Customer Service Clerk working on the Frontend responsible for registering customer purchases at the checkstand. Main duties include greeting customers, operating electronic registers, scanning and ringing purchases, handling cash and non-cash transactions, proofing checks, managing coupons, food stamps, vouchers, making change, maintaining a balanced drawer, bagging purchases properly, working the FastLanes, and ensuring a pleasant and efficient checkout experience. Secondary duties involve related activities as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Availability: Must be available to work 10+ hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Experience: Outstanding customer service skills; cashiering experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Physical Demands: Walking, bending, stooping, carrying, loading, repetitive lifting to 50 lbs; occasional lifting to 80 lbs.
