General Purpose:

The cashier is essential for the customer's experience in helping finalize purchases and ensuring they leave the store satisfied.

Work Schedule:

Up to 28 hours per week, weekend work required.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Customer Service
• Accounting for cash drawer
• Scanning and processing transactions accurately
• Maintaining cleanliness of workstation and surrounding areas
• Filling and stocking front aisles and coke machines
• Maintaining orderly placement of grocery carts
• Monitoring security issues and developing prevention methods
• Using bailer, pallet jacks, and forklifts following safety policies
• Understanding and practicing store safety rules
• Communicating with the Front-End Manager about issues and suggestions
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Front-End Manager

Required Education / Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Self-starter attitude

Physical Demands:

• Standing on tile or concrete for extended periods
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. from 6 inches to 84 inches overhead
• Moving up to 50 lbs. over a distance of up to 15 yards
• Using maintenance and transportation equipment
