Jay Peak in Jay, VT is seeking a seasonal team member to provide timely, accurate service at the cafeteria or outlet. You will handle guest payments, assist with inventory and maintain accuracy in cash handling.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to use POS and order processing systems, and strong customer service skills. Night/weekend shifts are required; certification by the Vermont Dept. of Liquor Control is preferred.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Point of Sale and Order processing systems.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Must be certified by the Vermont Department of Liquor Control (every 2 years) preferred. Opportunity to attend the seminar will be provided in some cases.

This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied, and in many cases include steep stairways, multilevel buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be reached by traveling via chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
