About the Role

The Cashier provides essential customer service by processing transactions quickly and friendly, answering questions, and ensuring customers leave pleased. The role may also include duties as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. The cashier is referred to as a Front End Team Member and reports to the store management team.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, and bagging products.
• Answer customer inquiries and promote the loyalty program.
• Deliver personalized service by greeting customers, building relationships, and providing product and service information.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.
• Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1‑3 years of work experience, with 1+ year in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, stand for 8‑10 hours a day, lift, load, and handle cases, pallets, and ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. overhead.
