Job summary

Goodwill Industries is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet customers, operate the POS, and participate in a Change Round Up program to support our mission. Join a team that values a stable work week and comprehensive benefits.

This role includes customer service on the phone, training new team members, and keeping the sales floor clean and organized. A high school diploma or GED and some retail/cash handling experience are preferred; days, evenings, and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
