Job Purpose:

Operates point of sale system and provides service to team members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time.)

  • Provides team members with service: acknowledging and welcoming team members entering the team member dining area, offering menu and pricing information, providing assistance, entering information into the point of sale system, and processing payments according to established procedures. (75%)
  • Provides accounting of transactions during shift: entering cash transactions, counting currency, logging discounts, balancing cash drawer, and reporting discrepancies. (10%)
  • Ensures team member dining stations are stocked and clean: submitting supply requisitions, placing supplies, and cleaning equipment and surfaces. (10%)
  • Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas: cleaning surfaces, disposing of trash, and wiping tables. (5%)
Job Specifications

Education and Experience:

  • County of San Diego Food Handler Card
  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.

Guest or Hospitality Service experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Effective interaction with team members
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
  • Cash handling and making change in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic mathematical skills
