Job Summary

Receives and disburses money by selling food to students and staff. Operates the cash register, maintains the serving line, and ensures a clean and organized checkout area. Works under general supervision, deciding how and when to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Handle payments via cash, vouchers, or automatic debits; issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
2. Assist with food preparation and packaging, ensuring proper temperature and portion sizes.
3. Stock and rotate food items on the serving line.
4. Maintain cleanliness of checkout areas and perform general cleaning duties.
5. Answer customer questions and provide information on procedures or policies.
6. Resolve customer complaints, process returns and exchanges.
7. Identify prices and use cash registers or scanners to tabulate bills.
8. Balance sales with received monies and complete reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/vocational training required.
• Knowledge of arithmetic to solve problems.

Compensation
