Grab-N-Geaux is hiring a Cashier/Kitchen Worker in Youngsville, LA. You will handle front-of-house cashier duties with accuracy and assist in back-of-house kitchen tasks, contributing to fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching).
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer warmly and professionally "WELCOME TO GRAB N GEAUX".
• Accurately perform transactions using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit payment transactions with correct change.
• Maintain a clean, organized front counter and kitchen area.
• Address customer questions and resolve minor concerns promptly and politely.
• Educate guests on our loyalty program and help customers get the best deals.
• Prepare and assemble food items according to Grab N Geaux recipes and quality standards.
• Connect kitchen and cashier as a floor customer educator through BBQ samplings & educating guest on our daily specials and bbq plates.
• Ensure food is fresh, properly stored, and prepared using safe handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with restocking ingredients and disposables, and report low inventory to management.
• Support smooth kitchen workflow during peak periods through teamwork and communication.
