Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cashier II at our San Antonio, TX location. You will deliver excellent customer service, handle POS transactions, and keep the sales area clean and well-stocked. The role supports store operations and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced travel center environment.

We expect 2+ years of cashier experience, basic POS knowledge, and reliable cash handling. Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Assist with receiving products and stock merchandise.
• Train lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
