Job summary

Bon Appétitare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time cashier for NBCUniversal at 100 University City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with online applications accepted only.

The role requires prior customer service experience. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. Duties include handling cash, processing transactions, giving change, and maintaining sanitation and service standards in the cafe.

• Previous customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Make change, accept declined balance cards and other forms of payment; issue receipts.
• Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate between standard portions.
• Replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Keep pastry case stocked.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary:

Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts and completing cash reports. May also perform general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
