Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations on sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas and own register.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cashier variance policy.
• May assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Assists supervisor in managing customer flow and reducing wait times.
• Participates in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Maintains clean and sanitary environment and proper equipment care.
• Performs opening, mid and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
• US only – cashier training and shopper tasks may be assigned.
