We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time CASHIER / FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions.

Location: Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools - 750 South Merritt Mill Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior cook or food service experience required.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; help prepare catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Conduct general cleaning; remove trash to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if out of range.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock and rotate refrigerator products using FIFO; record temperatures.
• Maintain pantry stock levels and record replenishments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
