Job Title: CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER

We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position at Russell County Medical Center, located at 58 Carroll Street, Lebanon, VA 24266. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, with days varying from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday. Additional details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Previous experience in food service and cashier/cash handling is required.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operate Point of Sale system, assist the Chef, prepare coffee, and maintain cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties

1. Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, including catering orders.
2. Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
3. Perform general cleaning and trash removal.
4. Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
5. Handle cash transactions accurately and make deposits at shift end.
6. Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
7. Set up serving lines, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if issues arise.
8. Serve hot and cold items to customers.
9. Prepare items for purchase daily.
10. Stock and rotate refrigerator and pantry items, recording temperatures and replenishments.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
